Digitalization is a perennial issue and, for us as trustees, a forward-looking topic to which we have been dedicating ourselves for some time now.

Our industry association Treuhand Suisse and the Institute Treuhand 4.0 offer groundbreaking training courses to help us progress in the digital transformation.

We work with BEXIO's online solutions. These are business ERP systems specifically designed for the needs of SMEs. They offer all the necessary functions in a user-friendly software: from quotes to invoicing, including payroll and financial accounting – all with just one tool. Accounting can be reconciled with the bank account in just a few clicks. The scanner app allows you to upload and process receipts on the go.

Because the client and the trustee have direct access to the software, all accounting processes can be completed efficiently and promptly.

Digitalization opens up many opportunities. The chance for SMEs lies in the optimization of existing processes and the resulting time and cost savings.

The authorities and social welfare institutions also provide support in the digital processes.

The "Uniform Wage Reporting Procedure" (ELM) software, developed and certified by swissdec, regulates and organizes the transmission of wage data from companies to social security institutions and government agencies. This allows us to digitally send payroll data to the relevant social security institutions.

All tax authorities now offer digital options for submitting tax returns, VAT accounting, withholding taxes and other administrative processes.

We view this development positively and are constantly evolving.
